By Dr. Jerry Komia Domatob
Post colonial Africa
Like most of the universe
Craved virtuous professionals
To chart paths as pioneers
Wrestling the colossal challenge
Like star winners
Dazzled professor McMoli
Who set fabulous records, in myriad arenas
God-fearing and reputed doctor
She bulldozed health mountains as a tractor
Seasoned and tested teacher
Dr. McMoli glittered as a researcher
Talented and renowned educator
She inspired as a facilitator
Respected and admired academician
She tackled hurdles like a tactician
Marvelous achiever of fortitude
She outclassed with positive attitude
Dr. McMoli served as a top-notch ophthalmologist
Who outpaced like a strategist
Beloved mother, sister, wife and friend
She sheltered loved ones from the fiend
Generous, giving and caring
Like philanthropists, who cherish sharing
Yes, shock and consternation
Overwhelm with frustration
Over Dr. McMoli’s demonic assassination
As folks deplore, her wicked elimination
Despite and in spite badness
Stinking with killer’s nastiness
Professor McMoli perpetually inspires, as a mentor
Counselor, guardian, founder, elder and leader
Goodbye Dr. Prof. McMoli
Special condolence to all McMolis, the Ojongtambias, Yembes, Zumafors, Dr. Joyce Ashutangtang, all friends, families and relatives.
